ALAN ERICKSON

Alan Oaklyn Erickson, 63, of Strum, died Monday, November 14, 2016, at his home while in the care of his family and MCHS-Home Health and Hospice.
Alan was born October 21, 1953, to Oaklyn and Palma (Anderson) Erickson of Strum. He graduated from Eleva-Strum High School in 1971.
Alan married Debra Lubinski on November 2, 1991 at Chimney Rock Lutheran Church. Together they worked side-by-side in their chicken barn producing eggs for GNP of Arcadia. For several years, he worked as a utility locator for USIC.
Alan is survived by his wife Debra; four children, Lucas (Amanda) Erickson of Vass, NC, Cody Erickson of Strum, Miranda Erickson of Strum and Jacob Erickson of Strum; two grandchildren, Brooke and Blake Erickson; sister, Patricia (Robert) Kurki of Crystal, MN. He is further survived by his god children, Brianna Albertson and Devon Soll and his special pet, Coco.
Alan was preceded in death by his parents, Oaklyn and Palma; brother, Orlan; Debra’s parents, Susan Lubinski and Robert Lubinski.
A celebration of Alan’s life will be held from 4-8 pm, Saturday, November 19, 2016 at Schiefelbein Funeral Home in Osseo.
