DOROTHY JUNGERBERG

Dorothy Eleanora Jungerberg, 94, of Eau Claire, formerly of Fall Creek, passed away Thursday January 26, 2017 at Heritage Assisted Living in Eau Claire.
Dorothy was born in the Town of Lincoln, Eau Claire County on the family farm on August 7, 1922. She was the daughter of Walter and Frieda (Dehnke) Volbrecht. She attended the Bears Grass country school and graduated from the 8th grade. She married Edwin E. Jungerberg in Fall Creek on May 14, 1950. He preceded her in death on August 30, 1992.
Dorothy was a lifetime member of St. James Trinity Lutheran Church in Fall Creek. She loved to embroider, read Christian authors and stories about the Amish. Dorothy was a great cook and baker; trying new cookie recipes into her eighties. She also loved vegetable and flower gardening. Canning for family was another activity she greatly enjoyed.
Survivors include two daughters, Bonnie (Steve) Wilhelm, of Amery, WI and Mary (John) Gerberich of Altoona, WI; a brother, Donald (Shirley) Volbrecht of Inver Grove Heights, MN; a sister in law Shirley Volbrecht of Fall Creek, WI; three grandchildren, Marcus (Melissa) Wilhelm, Brent (Michelle) Wilhelm and Kent Gerberich; and three great granddaughters, Madison, Maya and Evelyn. She is further survived by other near relatives.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, husband, twin sister Doris, and two brothers Harold (Leona) Volbrecht and Lawrence Volbrecht.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 2, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Stokes Prock & Mundt Funeral Chapel, 535 S. Hillcrest Pkwy, Altoona with Pastor Tom Bryan officiating. Interment will be at Trinity Cemetery, Fall Creek. Family and friends may call Thursday an hour before services at the funeral chapel.
