Kari Ann Steen

Kari Ann Steen, 54, of Osseo, died Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Kari Ann was born August 17, 1963 in Osseo to Gerald and Karen (Emerson) Anderson. She graduated from Osseo-Fairchild High School and received her associate degree in Records Management from Chippewa Valley Technical College. Following school she worked for the Ho-Chunk Nation and United Bank.
Kari Ann married Jason Steen on July 28, 1990 at United Church of Christ in Osseo. Together they owned and operated Steen Construction in Osseo.
Kari Ann was active in her church and community. She directed the church choir and served on the Osseo EMS and the Osseo Rural Fire Department for many years. Kari Ann was not a person to say no. If someone needed a helping hand or the community needed assistance with a project she was always willing to help.
Kari Ann is survived by her husband Jason; daughters Tess of Holcomb and Shania of Osseo; her mother Karen LaBelle (LeRoy Danielson) of Osseo; sister, Diane (Gary) Olson of Apache Junction, AZ; brothers, Gary (Lynne) Anderson of Osseo and Randy (Grace) Anderson of Black River Falls. She is further survived by her siblings from the LaBelle family; Kathy (John) Schumacher, Sandra (Ronald) Olson, Karen Livingston, Melody (Kent) Dodge, Jeff (Tamara) LaBelle and Tammy (Pat) Pettis.
Kari Ann was preceded in death by her father Gerald Anderson, step-father Verne LaBelle and her brother Jeff Anderson.
A memorial service for Kari Ann was held 5:00 p.m. Friday, January 12, 2018 at United Church of Christ-Congregational in Osseo.
Friends may call from 12:00 – 3:00 p.m. at the church on Friday.
Kari Ann’s wishes were that memorials be directed to a fund to be split between Osseo EMS, Osseo Rural Fire Department or the United Church of Christ Choir.
