Larry Anderson

Larry Anderson, 66, of Osseo, Wisconsin died Saturday July 30, 2016 at his home surrounded by family. He was born August 9, 1949 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, the son of Laverne and Vivian (Anderson) Anderson. He married Nancy Van Tassel April 15, 1972 at United Church of Christ, Osseo, Wisconsin.
Larry proudly served his Country with the United States Army in the Vietnam War from June 1969 to November of 1970. He worked for many years as a welder for Global Finishing Services. He was very active with the VFW and American Legion. He loved drag racing, building motors and spending time hunting.
Larry is survived by his wife Nancy Anderson of Osseo, WI; daughter Jennifer (Bruce) Hobbs of Ham Lake, MN; mother Vivian Anderson, of Strum, WI; mother-in-law Geraldine Van Tassel of Osseo, WI; brother Steve (Barb) Anderson Grand Prairie, TX; sister Theresa Moen Dixon, IL; three grandchildren, Ryun and Tyler Hobbs of Ham Lake, MN; and Jordon (Garrett) Wolle of Coon Rapid, MN; and two great grandchildren Nevaeh Leeper, and Sterling Wolle. He was preceded in death by his father Laverne, brother-in–law Russ Moen, father-in-law Warren Van Tassel, grandparents Bennie and Gina and Edwin and Julian Anderson.
Funeral services for Larry will be held 11:00 A.M. Thursday, August 4, 2016 at Schiefelbein Funeral Home Osseo, WI; with Pastor John Paul officiating, Burial will be Friday at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday August 3, 2016 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Special Thanks to Mayo Clinic Hospice.
