Mark Wehner

Mark James Wehner, age 67, died peacefully, surrounded by family in his Osseo, WI home Saturday, April 8, 2017. Soft tissue Sarcoma may have taken his life, but only after Mark courageously beat it six previous times.
Mark was born October 21, 1949 in Gary, Indiana to parents Raymond and Helen Wehner. He is survived by his wife of 46 years Maureen; sons Mike and Matt, daughter-in-law Gina, granddaughters Nola and Ivy; and brother Paul (Patricia) Wehner.
Mark lived his life celebrating the details of nature and showing those around him how to appreciate the same. He documented scenery and wildlife through one of his most cherished hobbies; photography. With his photos, he showcased his passion for nature, flowers, his favorite scenes of the North Shore in Minnesota, birds he had sought in adventures in forests, wetlands or even his back yard.
In his professional life, Choir Director and music teacher (Atwater, MN 1971-1976; Osseo, WI 1976-2009) he taught students to bring music into their lives and how to bring life into music. He used music as a mechanism to build acceptance, appreciation, respect, and self worth. Mark was a caring father, grandfather, brother, friend, teacher, and mentor who touched so many lives with his short time on earth. He was an inspiration to all and influenced countless people in positive ways that will continue to ripple for many years to come.
Celebration for Mark will be held Saturday April 15, 2017 from 1:00 to 5:00 P.M. at the Grand Occasions Event Center W 16181 HWY 10/53 Osseo, Wisconsin. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made to the Mark Wehner Fund at Rein in Sarcoma .
