Nannette Miske
Nannette Juanita Miske, 81, of Osseo, died Friday, November 25, 2016 at Mayo Clinic Health System-Oakridge in Osseo.
Nannette was born December 5, 1934 in Osseo to Jerry and Muzzette (Markham) Olson. She was baptized and confirmed at United Church of Christ in Osseo. Nan graduated from Lincoln Hill High School Class of 1953.
Nannette married Elgart “Sonny” Miske on October 23, 1954 in Waukon, IA. He preceded her in death on October 11, 1992.
As a young girl Nannette had various jobs, including egg candling and working as a waitress. For 35 years she work in the laundry of the Osseo Area Municipal Hospital, where she retired in 2000.
Nannette was an avid Packer fan and loved to spend time with her family: camping, fishing, playing cards and sitting around the campfire. She was a lifelong member of United Church of Christ in Osseo and a lifetime member of Craig S. Olson VFW Aux. Post #8514 of Osseo.
Nannette is survived by one daughter Kelly Miske of Osseo; three sons, Michael (Cari) Miske of Eau Claire, Eddie (Ruth) Miske of Elk Creek and Jeff (Denise) Miske of Osseo; five grandchildren, LeAnne (Jason) Hugdahl, Jennifer (Cory) Lange, Alisha (Tyler) Moldenhauer, Josh (Meta) Miske and Samantha Miske; 10 great grandchildren. She is further survived by one sister, Rene' (Donald) Springer of Osseo; two brothers, Ron (Lois) Olson of Altoona and Arlyn (Judy) Olson of Fairchild; one sister-in-law Rachel Olson of Altoona.
In addition to her husband Elgart, she was preceded in death by one sister Darliene Gomsrud; five brothers, Jack, Dean, Buddy, Craig and Larry Olson; brothers-in-law, Mart Gomsrud and Gerald Miske; sisters-in-law, Dollie Olson, Ollie (Art) Kattestad, Delores Olson and Annette Olson.
Visitation will be held at Schiefelbein Funeral Home in Osseo on Monday, November 28, 2016 from 4:00-7:00 pm. Memorial services will be 11:00 am, Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at United Church of Christ in Osseo with Rev. JoBeth Marshall officiating. Visitation one hour preceding services. Burial will be in Osseo Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4-7 pm, Monday at Schiefelbein Funeral Home in Osseo and on Tuesday at the church from 10-11 am.
