Orrine R. O’Brien, age 82 of Strum died peacefully on Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Prairie Road Home in Strum with her family by her side.
She was born on October 1, 1936 in Whitehall, the daughter of Orrie and Julia Olson. Orrine married Joseph Klimek on August 27, 1955 in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death on August 4, 1973. She married Roger O’Brien on April 7, 1978 in Nashua, Iowa. He preceded her in death on December 15, 2015.
Orrine was a book keeper for the Haukeness Gas Station in Strum, Deetz Trucking and for O’Brien Construction, whom she and her husband Roger owned. Orrine was also a long-time bartender for M & M Bar in strum. She loved going for “rides” with Sandy to the casino, scratching lottery tickets, puzzles and coloring books. She was a member of the Women’s VFW Auxiliary in Strum.
She is survived by her daughter Sue (Barry) Svoma; grand-daughter Sandy (Sarah) Svoma; step-sons: Jerry (Susan) O’Brien, Greg O’Brien and Steve (Jean) O’Brien; step-grandchildren: Patrick and Erin O’Brien; brothers: Mike Olson and Robert Olson; and sisters: Joanne Brion and Geraldine Bauer. She is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death are her parents; husbands Joseph and Roger; and a step-granddaughter Annie O’Brien.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at the Viking Golf Course in Strum from 12:00 noon until 3:00 p.m.
