James Raycher
James Raycher, 78 of rural Boyd, town of Wilson, died Saturday, April 16, 2016 in an auto accident. He was born on Oct. 11, 1937 to the late Joseph and Lorena (Koepl) Raycher. Jim grew up in the area and attended Stanley High. On June 6, 1964 he married Patricia Lamberty at St. Peter’s Catholic Church-Wilson.
Jim spent his entire career in the National Guard and retired as a Master Sergeant. He enjoyed attending his grandchildren’s sporting events, golfing, fishing and hunting. He was a member of the Boyd American Legion and All Saints Parish.
He is survived by his 10 children, Robert (Jeannine) Raycher of Greenwood, Jayne (Mark) Larson of Apple Valley, MN, Chris Kyles of Menomonie, Angela (Kevin) Renneke of Augusta, Rhonda Raycher of Wilson, Anthony (Michele) Raycher of Chippewa Falls, Michael (Caroline) Raycher of Boyd, David Raycher and Mandy Raycher of Eau Claire and Mark (Lee Ann) Raycher of Chippewa Falls, 13 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, his brother, Joseph Raycher of Eau Claire and his sister, Lorena Benzschawel of Stanley. Jim is preceded in death by his parents, wife Patricia, daughter Cathy and brother Donald.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on April 21 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church-Boyd with Father William Felix officiating. Inurnment will take place later in St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery-Wilson. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday with a 7:30 p.m. American Legion service at the Plombon Funeral Home-Stanley and from 9:30 a.m. Thursday morning at the funeral home until departure to church.
