The Beavers have assured themselves their first winning season since 2004. Last week Augusta quarterback Traven Fabian scored five touchdowns to help his team clinch a playoff spot with a 36-7 win at Cochrane-Fountain City.
On Saturday, FC and Augusta's cross country teams will be in Boyceville at Tiffany Creek Elementary School for the WIAA Division 3 Sectional Meet. Both the Augusta boys team and Fall Creek girls team have solid shots of advancing to the state meet if they finish as one of the top two teams. They will be competing against top-ranked opponents such as the Cloverbelt Conference Champion Chippewa Falls McDonell Boys Team, and the Glenwood City and Durand girls' squads. And if not teams then certainly as potential Top 5 individuals not on a qualifying team, such Fall Creek's freshman Jenna Anders who won the Cloverbelt meet last weekend or Augusta sophomore Bailey Peterson.
