Adrian Michael Pichler
Adrian Michael Pichler, 74, died peacefully at his home in Breckenridge, Texas on Saturday, March 12, 2016. He was born in Albany Township to the late Adolph Pichler, Sr. and Rose (Bauer) Pichler on March 7, 1942.
After graduating from Lima High School, Adrian attended police training and spent many years as a police officer for the city of Mondovi.
He was united in Marriage to Barbara Thorson on July 13, 1963 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Rock Falls, WI. To this Union three children were born, James, Christopher and Michelle.
Adrian was always looking for new business ventures and spent time as a farmer, car dealer and in real estate. For the last 27 years, he and Barbara divided their time between Wisconsin and Texas. He enjoyed spending time with family, traveling, and visiting. Adrian didn’t think of anyone as a stranger, only someone he hadn’t talked to yet.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara; children James (Jane Ann) Pichler of Breckenridge, TX; Christopher (Michelle) Pichler of Mondovi, WI; and Michelle (Jeff) Johnson of Nelson, WI.
Grandchildren Bryce Pichler of Mondovi, WI; Alexandra (John) Boettcher of Mondovi, WI; Sarah (fiancé Gerald Papenfus) Johnson of Mondovi, WI; Haley Pichler of Breckenridge, TX; Jacob Johnson of Nelson, WI; Ellie Johnson of Nelson, WI; Anthony Pichler of Breckenridge, TX; and Theodore Johnson of Nelson, WI.
Great-grandchildren, Owen and Henry Boettcher of Mondovi, WI; Brothers, Dennis (Margaret) Pichler of Green Bay, WI; Kenneth Pichler of Eau Claire, WI; Adolph, Jr. ( Jane) Pichler of Mondovi, WI. Sisters Cita Pichler of Plum City, WI and Rita (Mike) Hayden of Mondovi, WI. Brothers-in-law Duane Webb of Colby, WI and Ronald Risler of Mondovi, WI, Sisters-in-law Shirley Pichler of Eau Claire, WI and Kathy Pichler of Eau Claire, WI.
Adrian is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Robert Pichler and Arnold Pichler; sisters, Dorothy Webb and Marlene Risler, infant sister Mary Pichler and brother-in-law Gene Haglund.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 11:00AM at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Mondovi, WI; Father Paul Bosco will be Officiating. A Visitation will be held two hours prior to Mass at the church from 9:00AM to 11:00AM. Burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Mondovi.
