Arlene Church

Arlene Church, 93, of Pepin died Monday, November 16, 2020 at Plum City Care Center in Plum City, Wisconsin. She was born January 12, 1927 in rural Pepin, first daughter to Dallas and Irene Milliren. She attended grade school in Lost Creek and graduated from Pepin High School in 1944.
On February 12, 1945 she married Robert Church in Pepin, WI. They lived all their married life in the Pepin area. She and Bob owned several restaurants and bars in the area. One restaurant, the Pepin Hotel, was where they served huge crowds for a Friday fish fry every Friday night. She had a reputation as an excellent cook.
She and Bob enjoyed fishing and camping at Balsam Lake.
She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Pepin, Wisconsin.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Suzanne Bjork Church, Pepin, granddaughter Angela Church (Michael) Fetzer, Pepin, great grandchildren Austin and Alexa Fetzer, sisters Donna Hoover, Pepin, Carol (Dennis) Larson, Pepin, and many nieces and nephews.
Arlene was preceded in death by her husband, Robert, son, Allan, sister Norma Hoffman, grand dog Sophie.
A graveside service is planned at a later date at Oakwood Cemetery, Pepin, Wisconsin.
Arlene resided in her own home in Pepin until she moved to the Plum City Care Center in July, 2019.
