Athletes named all-conference, region, state
A number of area athletes were named all-conference, all-region, and all-state recently.
Durand Panther football players Nate Siebenaler, Travis Bauer, and Adayre Glaus were all named 1st team all-conference for defense. Travis Bauer and Nate Siebenaler (OL) were named second team. Clay Peterson, Jake Zeilinger, Isaac Annis, Logan Polzer, and Will Berger were named honorable mention.
Panther volleyball player Sekora Stangret was named 2nd team all-conference.
Panther cross country runners Brett Tomlinson and Wesley Brantner were named all-conference.
Pepin-Alma Eagle volleyball players named first team all-conference include Andi Terpstra and Laura Glander. Megan Johnson was named second team.
Eagle football players named 1st team all-conference include: Trevor Heit, Madison Larson, Matt Serene, Zane Lehnartz, Caiden Haake, Tyler Meixner, Lance Johnson, Randall Engstrand, Cole Engstrand, James Sterry, and Erik Ehlert.
Second team all-conference players include: Logan Carroll, Lance Johnson, and Jacob Riesgraf.
Eagle football players named to the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association’s all-region football team include: defensive lineman James Sterry, defensive end Caiden Haake, inside linebacker Lance Johnson, offensive lineman Madison Larson, and running back Trevor Heit.
Eagle football players Caiden Haake and Trevor Heit were named WFCA first team all-state.
Eagles head coach Mike Olson was named the northwest region head coach of the year.
Plum City Blue Devil volleyball player Cheyanne Catura was named 1st team all-conference.
Elmwood-Plum City Wolves football player Ryan Asher (O) was named 1st team all-conference. Anthony Ebensperger, Austin Turner, Hunter Freyholtz, Aaron Mattingly, and Ryan Asher (D) were named 2nd team.
