Betty Jane Keeler

Betty Jane Keeler (69) of Phoenix, AZ, died Monday, September 21, 2020 at the Arizona Tender Loving Care Home in Surprise, AZ. She was born October 30, 1950 in Durand, WI; daughter of William and Jane (Dunbar) Keeler. Upon graduating from Durand High School in 1969, Betty enlisted in the United States Army where she was stationed at Fort McClellan, AL. With Betty’s Honorable discharge from her military service, she pursued a career as a nurses aid where she worked in Menomonie, WI as well as the Wee Care Daycare in Durand, WI as a teacher’s assistant.
On October 23, 1973, she married Myron Ableidinger in Rock Falls, WI. On November 5, 1983, she married Myron Ableidinger for a second time before their final divorce on March 16, 1986. Betty married Larry L. Ogden on May 10,1990 in La Crosse, WI. They were later divorced on December 20,1990.
Betty loved a number of hobbies over the years: playing bingo and cards, traveling, listening to music, especially Elvis Presley, and going to the movies. Most of all, she enjoyed being with her friends, loved ones and always enjoyed a good laugh. She spent her final years in AZ volunteering at the local salvation army where she assisted with food and holiday toy drives.
She is survived by her children, Keven Keeler (Jennifer) of Foley, AL and Lee Ann Jordison Keeler (Jacob) of Warwick, RI; two grandchildren, Alexxander Keeler of Glendale, AZ and Levi Pupillo Jordison of Warwick, RI; two siblings, James Keeler (Diane Forster) and Nancy (Dan) Peterson; one nephew, Justin Watts of Mondovi, WI; and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her former husbands: Myron Ableidinger and Larry Ogden.
