Blanche M. Sinz
Blanche M. Sinz, age 88 of Eau Galle, died peacefully with family by her side Friday March 18, 2016 at Heritage of Elmwood Nursing Home in Elmwood.
Blanche was born April 3, 1927 at home at Highland Dairy in Durand. She was the daughter of Andrew and Adeline (Spindler) Brenner. She graduated from Durand High School in 1945. Blanche worked for the Selective Service in Durand for a year.
Blanche met Lyle “Tim” Sinz in September 1944 at Koller’s Pavilion. Blanche and Tim married at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Durand, September 2, 1946. After marriage they farmed and raised their family in the shadow of the Waubeek Mound on Edgewood Dairy. They moved to the town of Eau Galle in 1983.
Blanche had a passion for baking, gardening, dancing, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends. Her children and grandchildren have many fond memories of baking with her and the legacy lives on.
Blanche is survived by eight children: Bob (Laurel) of Eau Claire, Ron (Marilyn) of Eau Galle, Tom (Deb) of Menomonie, Jane (Dan) Weisenbeck of Durand, Charlie (Karen) of Eau Galle, Paul (Lisa) of Stillwater, MN, Susan (Tom) Udelhoven of Eagan, MN and Mary (Scott) Schmidt of Eden Prairie, MN; 12 grandchildren: Carla (Andy) Sinz Mohrlant, Johanna Sinz, Kyle (Libby) Sinz, Brock (Jamie) Sinz, Lisa (Chad) Hanson, Sara (Patrick) Cotter, Ryan Weisenbeck, Tony Sinz, Denise Sinz, Christopher Sinz, Connor Udelhoven and Margo Udelhoven; nine great grandchildren, one brother Bernard “Bun” (Lorraine) Brenner of Durand, several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Tim in 2014, two sisters, Charlotte Tibbets and Loretta Brantner.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday, March 28, 2016 at St. Henry’s Catholic Church in Eau Galle with Rev. Jerry Hoeser officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday, March 27, 2016 at the Rhiel Funeral Home in Durand and one hour prior to services at the church on Monday.
