Carl Donald Saueressig, 77, passed away on June 19, 2026 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born on June 4, 1949, Carl lived a life marked by dedication to public service, lifelong learning, and a deep appreciation for family, friends, and the outdoors. He spent much of his life in Wisconsin, residing in Plum City, Madison, Spring Valley and in Lakewood, Colorado before moving back to Wisconsin and residing in River Falls.
Carl graduated from Plum City High School in 1967 and went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire in 1971. Naturally curious and always eager to learn, he enjoyed sharing his knowledge and experiences with others. Whether discussing current events, planning a trip, or trying out the newest device, Carl approached life with enthusiasm and an inquisitive spirit.
