Eugene Theodore Falkner

Eugene Theodore Falkner, age 93, of Menomonie, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 30, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Menomonie.
Eugene was born on November 30, 1932, in Buffalo County, in the Town of Canton. He was one of twelve children and grew up on the family farm, where he developed a strong work ethic and a deep appreciation for family and rural life.
He attended school in the area and, following his education, worked locally before entering the United States Army. Eugene proudly served his country during the Korean War and was honorably discharged on September 15, 1955.
On November 15, 1955, Eugene was united in marriage to Beatrice Pittman at St. Henry’s Catholic Church in Eau Galle, Wisconsin. Together, they built a life centered on faith, hard work, and family, recently celebrating their 70th wedding anniversary.
Eugene and Beatrice were blessed with children: Craig (Julie) Falkner, Karen McIntyre (Brian), Kevin Falkner, Calvin (Sara) Falkner, Kurt (Lynnea) Falkner, Kay (Scott Nusberger), and Dan (Leslie) Falkner.
He is survived by his wife, Beatrice; his children; grandchildren Cassie (Justin) Klemm, Jason (Ashley) Falkner, Tony (Liz) Falkner, Cody (Ashley) Falkner, Kyle Falkner, Joey (Kaitlynn) Falkner, Nicholas Nusberger, Allison Falkner, and Jack Falkner; along with many great-grandchildren; siblings Arlene (David) Pichler, Glenn (Vicki) Falkner, and Jeanette (Rich) Ebinga; and many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who will miss him dearly.
He was preceded in death by his son Kevin; his parents, Joseph and Emma; Brothers Ed, Paul, Raymond, Sylvan, and Denny; and Sisters Margaret, Dorothy, and Lorraine.
Eugene will be remembered as a hardworking and devoted family man who was never afraid to take on new challenges. He found joy in the simple things in life, especially time spent with his family. His strength, values, and legacy will live on in all who knew him.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at Olson Funeral Home in Menomonie, WI with Father John Mano officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in the Town of Dunn, Dunn County, Wisconsin with Military Honors preformed by Menomonie Veterans Honor Guard.
