Harold Edward Fleming

Harold Edward Fleming (88) of Pepin, WI died Sunday, October 28, 2018 at the Pepin Manor. He was born March 9, 1930 in Pepin County, WI; son of Edward and Lilly (Weitz) Fleming. He attended school in Stockholm. Following graduation he joined the United States Army and served in Germany.
After serving in the Army, Harold married Violet Gilbertson. They lived in Pepin all their married life.
He retired after over forty years from the Burlington Railroad. Harold was an avid hunter, fisherman, he did net fishing with his brother, Bill. He also collected toy cars. Harold was a member of the Maiden Rock American Legion.
He is survived by brother, James (Marilyn) Fleming of Prescott, WI; many nieces, nephews and many great-nieces and great-nephews, along with his step children, Keith, Carvel and Karen.He is preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Lilly (Weitz) Fleming; wife, Violet; sisters, Anna Mae Fleming, Beatrice Samuelson, Lorene Keesling and brother, William Fleming.
Memorial services will be 11:00 am Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at the United Methodist Church in Maiden Rock, WI with Pastor Grace Baldridge officiating. Burial with Military Honors will be in the Maiden Rock Cemetery. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday. Goodrich Funeral Home in Durand, WI is assisting the family.
