Hubert “Herb” Herman Foster

Hubert “Herb” Herman Foster, age 78, of Stockholm, WI passed away Thursday, January 2, 2020 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester, MN. He was born August 21, 1941 in Durand, WI; son of Ray and Elizabeth (Hoyt) Foster.
He attended local schools. Hubert served in the United States Army during Vietnam.
On May 3, 1969 he married Estella Davidson in St. Paul, MN. Herb worked at Myers in Red Wing, MN before moving to the farm. Herb was a dairy farmer all of his life. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching Westerns, but what was most important to him was farming and taking care of Estella. Estella passed away in December of 2015.
He is survived by his daughters, Jeannette (Daniel) Klein of Chatfield, MN and Rebecca (James) Schively of Stockholm, WI; four granddaughters, Cathryn, Lily Rose, Alicia (Joe) and Hanna; brother, Arthur (Ann) Foster; sister, Ida Seipel; and nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Estella (Davidson) Foster; brothers, Floyd and Henry; sisters, Doris Fuller and Alice Brantner.
Memorial services were held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at the Community of Christ Church in Arkansaw, WI with Pastor Dan Richardson officiating. Friends called one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday. Burial with Military Honors was in the Arkansaw Memorial Cemetery. Goodrich Funeral Home in Durand, WI is assisting the family.
