Hubert Carlson Halling

Hubert Carlson Halling, age 85, of the Plum City Care Center, formerly of Durand, died on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 at Luther Hospital in Eau Claire.
He was born on December 28, 1933 in Maxville Township to Henry and Minnie (Shilling) Halling. He came from a family of 18 children.
Hubert married Barbara Kothbauer on April 7, 1956. He went into the Army in 1957 and was honorably discharged in 1959. They made their home in rural Durand after discharge. Hubert did carpenter work with his brother Harry, until Harry retired.
Hubert really enjoyed hunting, fishing, and ice fishing. He always had many stories to tell of his adventures. In later years, he enjoyed going to the casinos.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara, daughter Marion (Dave) Anderson, son Michael (Georgia) Halling and four grandchildren, Renee (Jon) Guenther, Michael Halling, Brady Halling and Gavin Halling, and one sister-in-law, Florence Halling of Eau Claire, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Minnie Halling, nine sisters, Rose Moore, Elsie Rieck, Iva Ellis, Esther Halling, Leona Halling, Loretta Halling, Lillian Salwey, Margaret Almsted and Mary DeLong, and eight brothers, Ed, Harry, Walter, Guy, Robert, Henry Jr., LeRoy and Frank Halling.
Body will be cremated and a celebration of Life will be held at Memorial Park in Durand, Saturday, June 15, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
