James “Jim” W. Suckow

James “Jim” W. Suckow Jr., 76 of Plum City, died Sunday, January 11, 2015 at Chippewa Valley Hospital in Durand, Wisconsin. He was born July 29, 1938 in Red Wing, son of James Willard Sr. and Myrtle Matilda (Moline) Suckow. James began his schooling in Red Wing, Minnesota. His family moved to Bay City where they started farming, and he continued his schooling in Ellsworth. Jim enlisted in the army, and was stationed in Germany. After he left the military, he worked various jobs. He married Beverly Ann Maxwell. The couple later divorced, but they still remained close friends to this day. In his spare time, Jim enjoyed racing cars, watching Nascar, woodworking and gardening.
Jim is survived by his special friend, Beverly Suckow; children, Todd (Ann) Suckow of Centuria, WI, Jeff (Kay) Suckow of Woodville, WI, Kim Weber of Lakeland, FL, Billy Suckow, and Julie Suckow; grandchildren, Spencer Weber, Cody Suckow, Serena Weber, Derrike Suckow, and Megan Suckow; one great grandson, Cael Weber; one sister, Sharon Nelson of Red Wing; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, John Suckow and Kathy Moore.
A Celebration of life will be held from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday, January 17, 2015 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home, Bodelson-Mahn Chapel. A private family burial will be held in the spring at Trenton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred. Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.mahnfamilyfuneralhome.com.
