JAMES M. ZIERL

James Zierl passed away on December 25, 2025.
James was born in Durand, Wisconsin on August 30, 1949, to the late Anton and Catherine (Anibas) Zierl.
James attended grade school at Sacred Heart in Lima, Wisconsin and graduated from Mondovi Public High School after which he attended the Vocational Technical School in Eau Claire, WI.
James was employed for many years as a tractor mechanic at the Mondovi John Deere Implement.
After his marriage and move to New Glarus, WI, he continued working repairing the “old iron” for the farmers in the area until he was forced to retire due to medical reasons.
James is survived by his wife, Angelita and children, Matthew and Leah. He is also survived by his siblings, Antoinette Brion, Glen Zierl, Mary Lemons, Wayne Zierl, Edna Utter and Edward Zierl as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Family services will be held at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Lima, in the spring.
