Jeffrey P. Knutson

Jeffrey P. Knutson, age 56, of Eau Claire, found peace May 23, 2015 after a long battle with bipolar disorder. 
A proud father, caring brother and good friend, he was known and loved in the community for many reasons: he helped many over the years via his handyman repair business, and was praised by all for the quality of his work and general craftsmanship. He was also known as a sweet-hearted, fastidious and pretty cool landlord.
Jeff found joy in bicycling, indoor gardening, and brewing craft beer at home. He impressed family and friends greatly with his brew master skills, as he did with cooking (everyone loved his chicken and biscuits). 
He was also an active participant in the “You Know You Are from Eau Claire” Facebook group - he loved exploring nature and waterways, and captured many exquisite moments and local scenes on film.
Jeff is survived by his mother Beverly; sons Eric and Cory (Michelle) Knutson; grandsons Kayden, Carter and Liam; like-a-daughter Larisa Shewczyk; brothers J. Richard (Ricci) and John (Diane); sisters Sue Zukiatis, Jane (Dan) Pedersen and Maggie (Dan) Muleski; several nieces and nephews, and many other loved ones. He was proceeded in death by his cherished son Brian Knutson and father Robert Knutson.
A celebration of life will be held from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at Stokes, Prock and Mundt Funeral Chapel, 535 S. Hillcrest Parkway, Altoona. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to The Wellness Shack in downtown Eau Claire (wellnessshack.org). 
Jeff’s family and friends also invite all to have a Jack and Coke while listening to Dark Side of the Moon in his honor, and to celebrate a beautiful life, a noble fight and a truly good man. He loved many, and was very loved in return.
