Joan Barbara Brantner

Joan Barbara Brantner, age 76, of Durand, died on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at her home, surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born on May 11, 1942 in Maxville Township to Walter and Alvina (Larson) Brantner. Joanie was a longtime Durand resident, for the last 26 years. She was a strong-willed lady who loved to listen to country music, drink coffee, socialize, and sit outside. She also enjoyed table games and M&Ms. Joanie inspired all of those around her with her optimism and strength.
She is survived by her three sisters, Lynette Benson of Cresco, IA, Marietta Stewart of Menomonie, and Rita (Joe) Abbott of Wabasha, MN; sister-in-law, Judy Brantner of Menomonie; many nieces and nephews; and her friends and family at Flo’s Adult Family Home.
She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, Alvern, Roger, and Richard Brantner.
A celebration of Joan’s life was held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 at Goodrich Funeral Home in Durand with Pastor Dan Norman officiating.
