Kermit L. Klinski

Kermit L. Klinski age 82 of Plum City, passed away on Tuesday March 13, 2018 at the Chippewa Valley Hospital in Durand.
Kermit was born February 20, 1936 in Caledonia, MN.  He was the son of Luverne and Clarissa (Nelson) Klinski and grew up in that community.  Kermit met his future wife, Shirley, at his parent’s place of business in Rushford, MN.  He married Shirley Halvorson June 10, 1955 in Rushford, MN.  After marriage they made their home in Freeburg, MN and raised their two children.  In 1972 they moved to Plum City where Kermit helped construct Nugget Lake.  After the Nugget Lake project, Kermit owned and operated his own Rock Quarry and Ag-Lime business in Plum City until he retired in 1995.
Kermit and Shirley enjoyed traveling around the country, “back roading it”.  He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Kermit is survived by his wife, Shirley, a son, Chris (Linda) of Plum City, a daughter, Robin .(Brad) Hoffman of Balsam Lake; four grandchildren, Eric, Kyle, Tim (Kelsey), Tyler (Fiancé, Jess), two great granddaughters, Brinley and Gabriella; one brother, Doug of Rapid City, SD; a sister-in-law, Beverly Klinski of Peterson, MN, several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and a brother Joe Klinski.
A Celebration of Life for Kermit will be held from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM on Sunday March 18, 2018 at Molly’s on Main in Plum City.  Burial will be at a later date at the Union Cemetery in Plum City.
