Kim E. Chambers

Kim E. Chambers, age 55 of Arkansaw, formerly of Washington, MO, died Wednesday, November 4, 2015 at the Plum City Care Center in Plum City with her family by her side, after a battle with cancer.
Kim was born on December 15, 1959 at the Plum City Hospital in Plum City. She was the daughter of Brian and Joan (Brunner) Lauer. Kim grew up on the Lauer family farm in the Town of Waterville. She attended and graduated from Arkansaw High School where she was active in the band, choir, and served as the manager for the women’s basketball team. It was during her high school years that Kim became interested in genealogy and history. Kim graduated from Graceland University in 1982. She relocated to the Washington, MO area in 1984 and worked in the greater St. Louis area in the insurance business.
Kim was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) and was an active member of the Washington Historical Society. She enjoyed doing her own family’s genealogy and crocheting. Most of all, Kim loved spending time with family and friends.
Kim is survived by her father; Brian Lauer of Arkansaw, one sister; Debra Fisher of Vincennes, IN, one brother; David (Karen) Lauer of Arkansaw, four nieces, one nephew, three great nieces, one great nephew, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her mother; Joan Lauer.
Graveside Services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, November 22, 2015 at the Arkansaw Memorial Cemetery in Arkansaw.
