Kyle Klevgard

Kyle Klevgard, age 41, of Arkansaw, Wisconsin, passed away suddenly of congestive heart failure on the morning of December 22nd with family near his side.
Kyle was born in Durand, Wisconsin on May 12th, 1978, third son to Stanley and Mary Klevgard and grew up on a small dairy farm on Spring Creek.
Kyle was a career trucker, with over 3 million miles under his belt since he graduated from Durand High School in 1996. He had been to every state in the US but two, witnessed the smoke of the Twin Towers during 9/11 and smelled the Pacific oceans’ breeze. He had hauled everything from medical cadavers, to empty bullet casings, to grain and fertilizer for farms. It was during one of these long hauls across I-80 that he met a woman that rivaled his wit and kept him excited to return home.
Kyle married his best friend and love of his life, Sally Klemmer, on October 11, 2006, while living in Stratton, Nebraska, and went on to father two boys that he couldn’t be more proud of and that inherited his love of good music, humor, and the soft spot he had for animals. He also enjoyed boating with his boys, motorcycling with his wife, and letting barn kittens sleep in his beard while flipping between the History Channel and Food Network. Kyle took fashion advice from no one and sported his signature everyday look of a sleeveless t-shirt, blue bib overalls bought exclusively from Stockmans, and a beard that exuberated as much manliness as his vintage chainsaw collection.
Kyle is survived by his wife, Sally (Klemmer) Klevgard and two young sons, Thomas and Kenneth, of Arkansaw,WI; mother, Mary A. (Beyer) Klevgard; two brothers, Mike (Gwen) Klevgard of Loyal, WI and Greg (Lisa) Klevgard of Las Vegas, NV; 5 nieces, 3 nephews, 2 great nephews, 3 great nieces, and a host of loving-in-laws, cousins, and friends from around the country.
Kyle was preceded in death by his father, Stanley A. Klevgard, his grandparents Herman and Madeline (Golden) Klevgard, Herman and Gertrude (Wegler) Beyer, his uncle and aunt Leon and Joyce (Klevgard)Huisman, great nephew Easton Klevgard, and mother-in-law Nancy(Grzybowski) Klemmer.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 11th, 2020 starting at 1pm and services at 2 pm at the Masonic Lodge (former Ben Franklin) in Durand, WI. Kyle’s family is honoring his wishes to be cremated and will be brought to his final resting place in the Maxville Cemetery near his father and other family at a later date, once the Wisconsin weather is more forgiving. His ashes will also be shared near his favorite hunting and fishing spots, where he felt closest to God.
Goodrich Funeral Home in Durand is assisting the family. To express on-line condolences, visit obituaries at www.goodrichfh.com
