Larry Thomas Thompson

Larry Thomas Thompson, 84, of Nelson, WI died Thursday, February 27, 2025 at the Plum City Care Center. He was born August 13, 1940 in Buffalo County, WI; son of Thomas and Gladys (Lane) Thompson. He attended school in Urne.
He worked on various farms in the area. He was a member of Lyster Lutheran Church and a member of the Lions Club. Larry enjoyed life, he loved visiting with people. He loved all animals, especially his cat, Troubles.
In December of 1994 Larry married Joan Fabian at Lyster Lutheran Church. They enjoyed traveling together. Joan died in 2010.
He is survived by his brother, David Thompson of Nelson; nieces, Rebecca Thompson, Beverly Blaylock, Anita Thompson, and Mary (Gene) Dubiel; 1 great niece and 2 great nephews; 2 great-great nephews; 2 step-daughters, Deborah and Renee; many step grandchildren and many friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Joan; brother, Marvin; great nephew, Tannus; step-daughter, Lisa and his cat, Troubles.
Funeral services will be 1:00 pm on Friday, March 7, 2025 at Lyster Lutheran Church in rural Nelson with Pastor Michael Vetsch officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery, followed by a luncheon in the church hall.
The family would like to thank all of the staff at Plum City Care Center for taking great care of Larry.
