Mary Jane Davie

Mary Jane Davie, 83, of Apache Junction, Arizona, passed away on July 4, 2024 following a courageous battle with Pancreatic Cancer.
Mary Jane was born on August 16, 1940. She was born to Gladys and Howard Norrish of Durand, Wisconsin and was the fourth of eight children. She attended school in Durand and graduated from Durand High School in 1958. After graduation, she moved to Minneapolis, MN, and lived there for several years until moving to Idaho in the early 1970’s.
She met her husband, Robert A, Davie, while living in Moscow, Idaho while he was attending college. While living in Moscow, ID, their daughter Renee (Davie) Chevalier was born. After her birth, they moved to San Diego, CA, where Robert and Mary Jane were married in July of 1978. They lived in San Diego for the next ten years while Robert was stationed there for the U.S. Navy.
In March of 1986, the family moved to Fargo, ND, for a recruitment station duty for Robert. Robert and Mary Jane were very active in both elementary and high school gymnastic activities for their daughter. She became very active in her women’s bowling league during that time and travelled with her ladies bowling league every year for almost 30 years.
Mary Jane moved to Arizona in 2013 and became very active in her beloved Bonita Vista community. She enjoyed many biscuits and gravy breakfasts with them amongst other various activities. She absolutely loved all of them and there were many who helped her tremendously throughout her battle with cancer.
She was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer in October of 2023. Her niece Brenda Schrader and daughter Renee took amazing care of her at home until her death in July of 2024.
Mary Jane is survived by her daughter Renee (Dwayne) Chevalier, her grandchildren Braedan, Brogan, and BrookeLyn Chevalier and soon to be great grandson. She is also survived by her stepdaughter Tina and Ken Weiss, grandchildren Kenneth and Rebekah Weiss and great grandson Jasper Weiss. She is also survived by her sisters Marcia, Betty, and Vonnie (Greg) Chalmers, sister-in-law Reggie Norrish, brothers Bill and Dick (Kay) Norrish along with many beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Robert A Davie, her parents, and her brothers Tom Spooner, Joe, and John Norrish.
A Right of Catholic Funeral Services will be held August 16, 2024, at St. Mary’s Assumption Catholic Church in Durand, Wisconsin at 11:00 a.m. Burial services will follow at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
