Mike Hovde

Mike Hovde passed away peacefully on March 8, 2018 at his Plum City (WI) residence. He was 63 years old. Mike was the son of Bob and Ruthann (Newberg) Hovde. He graduated from Plum City High School in 1973.
Mike worked at the family grocery store until it closed in 2001. He was also employed at Norwood/Bic in Red Wing (MN), until health issues forced his retirement.
Mike enjoyed cheering the Green Bay Packers, living on his hobby farm, deer hunting, going to Classic car shows with his brother Steve, and driving his convertible. He also traveled internationally to France and Morocco.
Mike is survived by his brother Doug, (Saigon, Vietnam), and his cousin Bill Newberg, (Maine), and many friends. He was preceded in death by his father Bob, his mother Ruthann, and his brother Steve.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date in Cable, WI. Cremation Society of Wisconsin, Altoona is assisting the family. Online condolences may be shared at www.cremationsociety-wi.com
