Oritha Altine Smith

Oritha Altine Smith, age 92, died Monday, July 1, 2019 at Dove Health Care West in Eau Claire. She was born July 5, 1926 in the Township of Rock Creek; daughter of Martin and Sarah (Mishler) Stever. She grew up on the family farm in Meridean and attended country school. She was united in marriage to Clifford A. Smith on Feb. 8, 1947. Together they farmed the Peaceful Valley farm in rural Downsville, WI. She enjoyed the fellowship of many friends through her faith.
She is survived by one sister, Charlotte Girard; several nieces and nephews who she thought of and treated as her own children; sister-in-law, Elaine Stewart and brother-in-law, Bernard Smith.
She is preceded in death by her husband; mother and father; in-laws; sisters, Veta (Richard) Young, Norma (Albert) Yarrington; brothers-in-law, Neil Smith and George Girard.

Memorial services will be at 1:00 pm on Monday, July 8, 2019 at Goodrich Funeral Home in Durand, WI. Friends may call one hour prior to services at the funeral home on Monday.Burial will be at a later date in Riverview Cemetery in Downsville, WI.
