Patricia Ann (Pat) Saddoris

Patricia Ann (Pat) Saddoris, 89, of Davenport, Iowa, died Thursday, November 3, 2022, at her home surrounded by her family.
The former Pat Matthews was born April 22, 1933, in Lincoln, Nebraska, the daughter of Harold and Ruby (Anderson) Matthews. She married Richard (Dick) Saddoris on January 31, 1952, in Lincoln NE. He died April 14, 2022. Pat graduated from Northeast High School in Lincoln, NE and attended the University of Nebraska, Lincoln and also Western Illinois University, Macomb, IL . Pat was a homemaker and worked at the Warren Achievement Center in Monmouth IL with disabled children. Later she worked along side her husband and her son Tom at their Physical Therapy practice in Monmouth, IL and then in Durand, WI at Chippewa Valley Hospital as a physical therapy aide.
Pat enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved all music especially blues, jazz and her favorite, Jimmy Buffet. Pat and Dick loved boating on the Mississippi River and on Lake Vermilion in northern Minnesota. They built their dream cabin in the mid 1980s on Lake Vermilion at Cook, MN. After retirement they summered on the lake. Pat enjoyed watching birds, especially the loons, and was known for calling to them. In later years they wintered in Mission, Texas.
Pat leaves behind her children, Tom (Heidi) Saddoris of Durand, Tad Saddoris of Cook, MN, Terri (Tor) Menke of Davenport, IA and Tracy (Marty) Strandberg of LeClaire, IA; her sister-in-law Lois Mathews of Lincoln, NE and her grandchildren, Alicia Saddoris, Sam Link, Matthew Saddoris, Colton Menke, Amber Link, Holly (Link) Scott, Raegan Menke, Ruby Saddoris, Lily Saddoris, and Gabe Strandberg; and three great grandchildren, Ellie, David and Zayla.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and her brother Don.
