Robert “Rob” Michael Edwards, 69, of Durand, WI died Monday, April 7, 2025 surrounded by family at Mayo Health Systems in Eau Claire, WI. He was born on October 24, 1955 in Minneapolis, MN; son of Robert and Barbara (Kallio) Edwards.
Rob graduated from West High School in Minneapolis in 1974 before attending Augsburg College. He carried many friendships for decades through elementary school all the way until his passing. He had a long career of racing cars and motorcycles, as well as frequenting car shows. His race car of choice was his 1964 red Volvo (pictured).
He relocated to Durand, WI to operate Shari’s Chippewa Club Bar & Grill in 2005. Rob loved music of many genres and hosted live music at the Chippewa Club whenever possible. He was one of the founding members of Blues on the Chippewa, a multi-day music festival in Durand that raises money for the local food shelf. His legacy will live on in this yearly event. He was known as a good friend and neighbor to many. He loved to remodel any space where he hung his hat - from a motor bus to their home in Durand. In his final years, Rob enjoyed tending to his garden, relaxing with his beloved cats, and spending time with his family and friends.
Rob will be remembered for his sense of humor, kindness to all people and animals, and ability to fix any car that came his way. He loved being a great-grandpa and his proudest accomplishment in life was raising his daughter, Maddy.
