Tadeusz Edward “Ted” Krukowski

Tadeusz Edward “Ted” Krukowski, age 88, of Durand, died on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at the Assisted Living of Durand. He was born on July 20, 1930 in the Chetek area to Adam and Alexandra Krukowski. He grew up there and graduated from Chetek High School before going on to serve in the US Air Force from 1950-54. Following his discharge from the military, Ted attended the Milwaukee School of Engineering, where he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree. He worked at Honeywell as a technical rep for over 20 years and retired in 1977. He moved back to the Durand area in 1995. Ted loved to go hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his son, Doug (Jean) Krukowski of Waconia, MN; daughter, Dawn Roettger of Shakopee, MN; four grandchildren, Alex (Lauren) Krukowski of De Pere, Lauren Krukowski of Brooklyn, NY, and Justin and Kaylee Roettger; three great-granddaughters, Stella, Violet, and Caroline Krukowski; and brother, Joe (Cecelia) Krukowski of Neenah.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Sophie Woods, Helen Halverson, and Anna Olesiak; and two brothers, Frank and Stanley Krukowski.
Private family services will be held at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery at a later date.
