Vern Alton Bocksell

Vern Alton Bocksell passed away peacefully at the Plum City Care Center on September 30, 2024 where he had been a resident for over seven years. He was born February 28, 1938 in Plum City, WI; son of Kenneth and Ruby (Anderson) Bocksell.
He attended Barry Corner grade school for eight years and graduated from Pepin High School on May 18, 1956. He was inducted into the U.S. Army on June 2, 1959.
He was employed by the Lund Feed Mill in Lund, WI, by Edgecombe Metals Co. and by Butler Manufacturing Co. in Minneapolis, MN.
His favorite pastime activities were deer and turkey hunting, and fishing. He was a lifetime member of the Lund Mission Covenant Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his sister Elaine Gray and his brothers, Roger Bocksell and Wayne Bocksell.
He is survived by his brothers, Leslie (Elaine) Bocksell and Dale (Cindy) Bocksell; sister-in-law, Joyce Bocksell; brother-in-law, Bill Gray; by his aunt Irene Hoffman, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at the Lund Mission Covenant Church in Lund, WI on Saturday, October 26, 2024 at 11:00 am. Burial with Military Honors will immediately follow in the Marie Lund Cemetery.
