Viola Beatrice Hoyt

Viola Beatrice Hoyt of Durand passed away in her home on Saturday, May 2, 2015. She is survived by her two children, Gordy (Janell) Hoyt and Gary (Terri) Hoyt as well as eight grandchildren; one great grandson with a great granddaughter on the way.
Viola was born on February 5, 1933 in Dunn County, a daughter of Charles and Rosella (Schafer) Kistner.
She attended the Downsville Country School until the 8th grade where she was taught by her mother, Rosella. On February 14, 1953, Viola was united in marriage to Gordon Lynn Hoyt.
Viola was a devoted wife and mother her entire life. One of her most favorite pastimes was watching her grandchildren play sports.
She also enjoyed all outdoor activities, including gardening and hunting. It was often joked that she was a better hunter than her husband and sons.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, May 7 at 11:00 AM at the Waubeek Cemetery in Eau Galle, WI.
