Zeona “Zee” F. King
Zeona “Zee” F. King, 77, Green Bay, died Saturday, July 4, 2015. She was born on February 1, 1938, in Eau Galle, WI to Glen and Agnes (Lechler) Lauer.
Zee married Raymond John King on November 10, 1958, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Arkansaw, WI. She worked at the Midway Motor Lodge as a banquet waitress for 33 years. Zee and Ray loved to polka dance and attended many polka festivals in North Dakota, Minnesota, Michigan, and all over Wisconsin. She was famous for growing African violets and always having them displayed around her house. She also grew roses.
Zee is survived by her husband of 56 years, Ray; children and their spouses, John and Marla King, Bonnie and Jon Krueger, JoAnn and Dave Nyhus, Robert and Cheri King; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brothers, Gary Lauer, Ervin (Donna) Lauer; sisters, Eilene (Duword) Kurrelmeyer, and Margie (Mike) Bauer; and sister-in-law, Betty Lauer.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant brother, Charles Lauer; brother, Arland Lauer; and sister-in-law, Betty Jean Lauer.
Friends may call at St. Joseph Catholic Church, corner of Ninth St. and 12th Ave., Green Bay, from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday. The Mass of Resurrection will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the church with Rev.
