Blood Drive at St. Paul’s a huge success

On Wednesday, December 31 2014 from 11:00 am – 4:00 pm, St. Paul’s held a New Years Eve Day Blood Drive. The American Cross Blood Center brought out one of their mobile blood units and collected life saving blood from 28 donors during the most critical time of the year for blood donations. Blood donors were greeted by Heather Reps and other St. Paul’s Blood Drive volunteers and the recipients received lunch courtesy of St. Paul’s.
The blood drive teams were very satisfied with the event with 28 good blood units being collected throughout the day.
“It takes just a small amount of your time,” Reps said, “but in return, you will receive the gratification of knowing that your donation is helping someone in our area.”
Summertime is typically when area blood supplies are at their lowest, health officials said.
“Sponsoring a blood drive is one way we can serve our community,” Reps continued.
The American Red Cross cares wants to make a make a difference for someone in need the next time in the area...come on in and make a donation. Your donation makes a difference!
St. Paul’s UCC/ELCA of Lewiston held a very successful Blood Drive on New Year’s eve Day. Over 28 pints were gathered during the day and a few new blood donors also stepped up for a blood donation. Keep watch for other Blood Drives in the area...your donation does make a difference in someones life.
