Nine kids are actively engaged and learning all about firearm safety.  They are in the classes provided by the Lewiston Sportsmen’s Club. The ‘Pinta’ and the ‘Nina’ replicas of Christopher Columbus’ ships, arrived in Winona on Tuesday, June 28th.  The ‘Nina’ and ‘Pinta’ remained docked at the Levee Park, 65 East Front Street, until their departure on Wednesday, July 6th.   “The Nina is the most historically accurate replica ever created,” said Pinta’s 1st Mate. “And the Pinta comes in a close second, but she’s a little bit larger than she originally would’ve been by about 20 percent.” Photos by Carol Boynton
