A recent change to the state’s school bus laws required all districts to change the inner set of lights on school bus eight-way light systems from red to amber to indicate the bus will soon be stopping when activated. City of Mondovi, school district at odds over proposed sidewalk project
Orange flags mark the location of a fiber optic line buried beneath the site of a proposed sidewalk project on the south side of W. Mill St. that city leaders say has been needed for years. Per city ordinance, sidewalk costs are assessed to the property owner meaning this stretch bordering the Mondovi School District tennis courts and football field/track stand to cost the district over $30,000. The school district says classroom supply budgets will have to be cut if it is assessed for the sidewalk project.
