David Lawrence Hallock

David Lawrence Hallock “Dugan” was born August 10, 1948 in Jamestown, ND to Le Ray and Maxine (McLaren) Hallock. He attended school in Durand, WI and then entered the United States Navy. Dugan made a career of the United States Navy and was proud of the fact that he sailed the seven seas and that he belonged to a unique group of sailors who crossed the equator on the USS England in 1988. Throughout his naval career he served on several ships earning multiple awards, commendations, and awards. He enjoyed entertaining his friends and family with stories of his Navy life.
Dugan was united in marriage to Linda Bolin on September 02, 2021 in Las Vegas, NV and they resided in Le Roy, MN. He enjoyed fishing, model trains and working on old cars. Most recently a 1930 Ford Model A, a 1937 Packard, a 1949 Mercury and a Dodge Challenger. He also enjoyed his Corvette.
He is survived by his wife Linda of Le Roy, MN, step-children Angela (Deron) Emerson of Le Roy and Dean (Kathryn) Bolin of Mantorville and their children Dylan (Miranda) Emerson, Savannah Emerson, Carter Emerson, Austin Bolin, Logan Bolin, Gavin Bolin, Ian Bolin and Haden Bolin and two great grandchildren Vinny and Ollie, siblings; Murph, Robert, Timothy, Dixie and Barry, and many nieces and nephews. Dugan did not have any biological children; however, he had a special place in his heart for his many friends. Adam Potter was like a son. Many times when Dugan got an itch to go look at a car, Adam was his right hand man willing and ready to go with him. He is also survived by his companion Chewbacca (Chewie).
He was preceded in death by his parents, his step-father, who raised him, Edward Bruns, siblings; William, Anthony, Martin and Michael. Dugan loved his family and will be missed.
Visitation will be on May 30 from 2 - 4 pm at Hindt Funeral Home in Le Roy with services and burial at St. Mary’s Assumption Church and cemetery in Durand, WI on May 31 at 11:00 am with military honors.
