Audrey L. Gosse
On December 2, 2025, Audrey Lorraine (Robole) Gosse (88) of Plainview, MN, departed earth and is now walking beside her husband Art in paradise. She was born on February 9, 1937 in Knapp, WI to Oscar and Evelyn (Retzell) Robole. She grew up in Elmwood, WI and graduated high school in 1955. She met the love of her life, Arthur Gosse in Eau Galle, WI at a dance. They set up a second date that night. Art went home that evening and told his parents he met the girl he was going to marry. On August 24, 1957, they were united in marriage at St. Felix Catholic Church in Wabasha. They first lived in St. Paul for a few years while Art worked for the Milwaukee Railroad. They then farmed in Greenfield Township until Art’s death, August 2, 1999. Audrey worked several part-time jobs, but her favorite occupation was being a homemaker. She was a member of St. Felix Catholic Church and its Council of Catholic Women. Audrey was proud of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved sharing stories about her 13 brothers and sisters as well as her own children’s shenanigans.
She kept in close contact with her siblings by calling them several days a week, and some every day. She is survived by her daughter-in-law Debbie Gosse of Jordan, MN, son Darrell (Sara) Gosse of Plainview, MN, daughter Deidre McHone of Rochester. Seven grandchildren-Audumn Richardson and Stephanie (Shane) Wheeler, Josh (Kemora) Olson, Megan (Jeremy) Meyer and Tyson (Stephanie) Gosse, Alisha (Lee) Nachand and Jason McHone. Great grandchildren, Lilliana, Lydia, Cayton, Juniper, Alexandra, Kirby, Skyler, Nolan, Eloise, Ryker, Aiden and Callan. Six brothers Robert (Marlys), Roger (La- Vonne), Ralph (June), Randy (Nancy), Richard (Pam) and Ramon (Donna). Five sisters Shirley Volk, Beverly Maves, Margery (Ron) Robole-Ginsbach, Sherry (Ken) Iverson, Dorothy (Greg) Lacefield, Brother-in-law Clyde Bingham, Sisters-in-law Irene Smith and Connie Gosse and
many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Arthur, son Danny, two grandsons Joshua and Kyle, sister and brother-in-law Constance and Alfred Kurschinski, sister-inlaw Pat Robole, sister Debra Robole and brothers-in-law Raymond Gosse, Harold (Cutz) Gosse and Ron Smith. Blessed be her memory; may she rest in peace. A private funeral service was held at Abbott Funeral Home. Interment was at St. Felix Cemetery, Wabasha, MN.
