BULLDOGS KNOCKOUT CARDINALS IN HOME PLAYOFF GAME

The pesky Lewiston-Altura Cardinals recaptured the lead 38-37 with about 10 minutes to play in the first game of the Section 1AA basketball playoffs, but the No. 5-ranked Bulldogs showed off their muscle and answered with a 13-0 run that would be good enough to sink the No. 12-ranked Cardinals 73-64 at home on Thursday, March. 1.
After taking a 33-24 lead into the halftime, the Cardinals came out firing on all cylinders. Despite the Cardinal run, the Bulldogs and coach Jason Herber were able to calm down and grab the momentum.
