Changing It Up: Print shop gets new name, partnership

Dave and Tracy van Eijl are shaking things up.
The Elgin couple, owners of the Elgin Print Shop since 2010, combined the print shop with Express Custom Apparel, a business they opened in 2017, and changed the business' name to Texteijl - pronounced 'Text Aisle,' which rhymes with the second part of their last name.
They've moved from contract sales to direct sales. Texteijl, at 125 2nd Ave. SE, Elgin, is open to the public for retail sales.

They purchased a cool new van to haul merchandise. A logo bears the American flag, in honor of Tracy's home country, and the red Canadian flag, representing Dave's homeland.
And they partnered with Sherri Norton, owner of Magnolia Cottage in Plainview. She'll help with sales and retail management, so Dave van Eijl can focus on screen-printing (Tracy works at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester) and preparing for a major renovation of his two buildings.
