PEM Elementary regains State Title
ST. PAUL, Minn.— A season’s worth of hard work and dedication paid off this year at the MCCA State Competition held at the Roy Wilkins Auditorium in St. Paul this past weekend.
When the Elementary team came onto the mats, the noise level increased immensely.
You could hear and feel the echo and vibration of their cheer down on the floor.
“I am at a loss for words for how Saturday went for our program,” said coaches Lyndsay and Josh Busby. “The dedication these girls and fans showed us was amazing. This team came into the State tournament undefeated and left a State Champion!”
The 9th Consecutive State title for PEM Varsity Cheer Team
The Varsity Cheer team had their first performance in the early afternoon, but you couldn’t tell they’d been waiting around a better share of the day, because they came out and nailed their routine.
As they waited for the results, it was finally announced—the PEM varsity would be moving on to the finals.
Now the team had to focus because their first place winning put them into the overall competition.
All winners in every division then competed head to head. This would be equivalent to all sections in MSHSL sports competing against one another - A, AA, AAA, AAAA etc.
It was awesome hearing the noise level build as they went through their routine for the second time, knowing that they had to leave it all on the mat.
We could not be more proud of how hard this team worked and it shows by the end results.
