Dennis Leonard Wegner

Dennis Leonard Wegner, 85, of Plainview, passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2022, at Green Prairie Rehabilitation Center in Plainview. He was born January 3, 1937, in Rochester, MN to Leonard and Evelyn (Dickman) Wegner. He grew up in the Hammond area where he attended school.
Dennis lived in the Hammond, Lake City and Millville area where he worked as a farm laborer, heavy machinery operator, and was later employed by Lakeside Foods in Plainview for many years. In 2020 he moved to Plainview. Dennis enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Dennis is survived by his sister, Carole Heins of Plainview; a two nieces Anna (Wayne) Folkert and Lorna Lubinski both of Plainview; and a nephew, Paul (Shirley) Heins of Zumbro Falls. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law Lorin Heins, and step-nephew, Patrick Heins.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 12 at 2:30 p.m. at the Millville Cemetery in Millville with Pastor Jack Miller officiating. A visitation for friends and family was held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, at Schleicher Funeral Homes, Plainview Chapel.
