Hyacynthia Katherine Walters

Hyacynthia Katherine Walters, 97, of Elgin, Minnesota was called by our Lord Jesus Christ on May 4, 2020, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center in Wabasha.
She was born on December 5, 1922, to Andrew and Katherine (Kirch) Schlink in Altura, MN. Cindy graduated from Lewiston High School. Prior to her marriage, she worked for Dr. Page in St. Charles and then Dr. Bouquet in Wabasha. On April 19, 1944, she married Elmer Henry Walters in St. Charles. They lived and farmed in the Elgin area. Over the years Cindy had worked at Waters Conley in Rochester, Dayton’s Downtown Rochester and Piper Hills Golf Course in Plainview. Cindy enjoyed china painting and doll making, gardening, bird watching, reading, word find, fishing, dancing, card parties, and the Minnesota Twins.
She is survived by her children; Jeani Tentis (Dean Anderson), Wabasha, MN, Donald (Mary) Walters, Fort Madison, IA, Mary Madson (Ken Bourquin) , Rochester, MN; Grandchildren, Monica Tentis Behrns, Kristen Tentis, Scott (Pam) Tentis, Melissa (Jim) Schafer, Enid Walters, Shawna (Steve) Weber, Todd Madson. Great-grandchildren; Josh Schultz, Kailey, Jacob, Michael Tentis, Cody, Canyon McCarty, and Kaylee Mason, Drake and Cayden Weber, Jackson and Harper Schafer and Trace Madson; one sister, Christina Bender, LaCrosse, WI and one sister-in-law, Betty Bierbaum of Eyota.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Walters and 5 sisters, Clara, Marie, Mildred, Theresa and Susanna.
A private graveside service will be at St. Joachim Catholic Cemetery in Plainview with Father William Becker officiating.
Memorials are preferred to St. Elizabeth Medical Center Foundation, Wabasha or St. Joachim Catholic Church in Plainview.
