Kenneth Joseph Threinen

Kenneth Joseph Threinen, 80, of Plainview passed away Thursday evening, August 20, 2020 at Green Prairie Rehabilitation Center in Plainview. He was born April 2, 1940 in Winona to George and Erna (Pagel) Threinen. Kenneth grew up attending rural area schools, and graduated from Rochester High School in 1958. On December 3, 1960 he married Roselynn Brunner at The Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa.

The Threinen’s lived in Rochester for two years after their marriage and then moved to Plainview. Kenneth worked construction for Quarve & Anderson and with Road Constructors. He enjoyed hunting in his early years and loved to go fishing, and especially enjoyed his Sheltie Dogs. Kenneth enjoyed spending time with his family and time with his grandkids and great-grandkids. Kenneth was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Plainview, and the 49er’s Labor Union.

Kenneth is survived by his loving wife, Roselynn Threinen of Plainview, children, Lisa (Peter) Lambert of South St. Paul, Jeffery Threinen of Maumee, Ohio, and Brenda (Jon) Krusmark of Plainview; four grandchildren, Jesse (Anastasia), Terry (Melissa), Nichole (Brian), and Paulette; and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and four brothers.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, August 27, at 2:00 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Christian Life Center in Plainview, with Pastor Phil Augustine officiating. Burial will follow the service in Greenwood Cemetery in Plainview. Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 26 from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Schleicher Funeral Homes, Plainview Chapel, and one hour prior to the service at the Christian Life Center. Masks are required and please practice the COVID-19 social distancing.
