Lois E. Jones

Lois E. Jones age 92 of Lake City passed away Mach 23, 2015 at her home.

Lois Elizabeth Waterbury was born in Wabasha, MN January 20, 1923 daughter of Warren and Chrissie Waterbury. Lois graduated from Wabasha High School in 1941. She then graduated from Miss Woods eaching School in 1944. She married Roy Jones June 3, 1944 at the First Congregational church in Wabasha. They moved to Lake City, MN in 1947 where Roy managed C.R. Anthony department store for 35 years. After retiring in 1980 they enjoyed spending time in Arizona. She was a kindergarten teacher a member of the First Congregational Church in Lake City, Mayfl ower Guild & choir of First Congregational Church. She was also a Eastern Star member. She loved her family, music, golf and her cats.

Lois is survived by two daughters; Judy (John) Rahman of Middleton, WI, Wendy Jones of Lake City; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Roy, infant daughter Mary, parents, two sisters and a grandson Judson.

A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, March 28th at 2:00 pm at the First Congregational Church in Lake City with Rev. David Badgley officiating. Burial will be in Lakewood Cemetery in Lake City. Friends
may call Friday from 5 to 7 at the Mahn Family Funeral Home Anderson-Peterson Chapel Lake City. Friends may also call one hour before the service at the church.

Memorials are preferred to the local Humane Society or the Mayflower Guild First Congregational Church.
