Phyllis Mae Bartz

Phyllis Mae Bartz. 89, of Plainview, died Saturday, July 25, 2020 at Green Prairie Rehabilitation Center in Plainview.
Phyllis was born September 2, 1930 in Alma, Wisconsin to Arthur and Alice (Rhyner) Giese. She attended country school. On March 9, 1946 Phyllis married Ervin Bartz in Winona. They lived their entire married life in Plainview.
Phyllis was employed by the Plainview Community Schools for 34 years as a Cook. She retired in May of 1995. She was a longtime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Plainview where she was involved with the Hi Neighbors, Dorcas Club and the Senior Citizens of Immanuel Lutheran.
Her husband Ervin died April 14, 1992.
Phyllis is survived by her children; Wayne (Janet) Bartz of Rochester, Richard (Laurie) Bartz of Rochester and Ronald (Sandra) Bartz of Plainview; Grandchildren; Deanna Ploederl, Lisa Campbell, Tony Bartz, William Bartz, Peter Bartz and Danille Bartz; Great-grandchildren; Trevor Ploederl, Kylie Ploederl, Tyler Bartz and Kendra Bartz.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 1 brother and 1 sister.
A funeral service will be Thursday, July 30, 2020, 11:00 am at Immanuel Lutheran Christian Life Center in Plainview with Pastor Phil Augustine officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Plainview. Visitation is Thursday, one hour prior to the service. We will be following the Covid-19 policies.
