Rebecca (Becca) Johnson

Rebecca (Becca) Johnson was welcomed home by her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on June 18, 2025, at the age of 59 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on April 25, 1966, in El Paso, TX. She was baptized and confirmed at Central Christian Church Disciples of Christ in Jefferson, IA. She graduated from Jefferson High School in 1984 and pursued a business/accounting degree at Rose State College in Midwest City, Oklahoma and later attended Des Moines Area Community College in Boone, Iowa.
Becca was employed by several banks over the years as she moved between states to remain close to her family. For the past 5 years, she was a dedicated employee at KBS (Kreofsky Ag Systems) in Plainview, MN. Although Becca was small, she was a firecracker. Her wit and smile brought so much sunshine and laughter to those who knew her.
Becca’s life revolved around her family and close friends. Becca enjoyed the simple things in life such as playing games or cards, weekend getaways to watch baseball or football games, flower shopping and exploring wineries. Becca was a devoted mother and grandmother to her four children and four grandchildren. We are honored to call this extraordinary woman: mom, daughter, grandma, sister and friend. She will be forever cherished.
Becca also had a deep and profound love for God. Even during difficult times, she found the positive and looked to the Word to give her strength and wisdom. Her light shined bright even in the darkest days. Becca was a member of the Church of Christ in Plainview, MN but was active in other churches throughout her life. May her light continue to shine through everyone she knew and loved.
Becca is survived by her children: Daniel (Cassandra) Byler, Plainview, MN; Tiffany (Hayden) Pecor, Athens, TN; Matthew Johnson, Plainview, MN; Alexandra (Roy) Haines, Knoxville, TN; her mother: Jessie Custer, Elgin, MN; her sister: Debora (Joe) Bynum, Oklahoma City, OK. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, her pride and joy: Jeremiah Pecor, Evelynn Byler, Harlow Byler, Rowan Haines.
A Visitation and Celebration of Life service was held Saturday June 21st at the Church of Christ in Plainview, MN. A visitation was held from 10 -11am, with the service at 11:00am. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred and can be sent to 720 2nd St NW, Plainview, MN 55964.
